I really like the low angle of the photo and the strong focus on one single cotton plant. It lets me know exactly what I'm looking at while giving the photo great depth.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful work with us @ :iconsharpenededge:.  Have a great weekend.  Kermit McIcon

It was completely serendipitous. I got lost traveling back from Dismals Canyon in Alabama. The good thing about the state roads in that area is that they all eventually lead to the same place so I didn't worry about it. I was with another photographer and we stumbled upon this field at sunset.

Thanks :) If you get time, read my response to the comment above yours. It's also an interesting story. You never know when you are going to "stumble" on something :)

Agreed on both premises -
- back roads are good
- always carry a camera

Great capture. I love how the right side of the photo takes all the focus while the whole rest of the photo diminishes within the blur. Then there is the contrast of the dark shadows and the bright lights of the sunset, I like that. Very nicely done photo!

Sincerely

Thanks :) As you can tell by my avatar, this is one of my favorite photographs. It looks great printed. The web does not capture it well enough. It's also an example of serendipity. I got lost on the way back from somewhere else and stumbled upon it.
