Dismals Canyon, Alabama

Arguably one of the best photographs I've ever taken.

Very, very, very nice lighting here. You caught the light an admirable way!

I really like how it seems very calm and luminous! This reminds me in some way the Lothlórien set from The Lord of the Rings movies :)

Nice catch :thumbsup:

Is it done in infrared?

No, it was shot with a digital camera and processed in grayscale.

As you've said, this is arguably your best photograph and that it's a mystical land.

This picture definitely took me there.

Hmm... I'll have to take a look at it sharper. I have this one printed 16 x 20 and it looks pretty good.

Thanks. I have this one printed 16 x 20 and hanging on a wall in my living room. It's so much better larger. I never get tired of looking at it.

Yes, there are many beautiful places in Alabama. I'm very fortunate in that regard. Dismals Canyon is special.

Land between the Lakes,TN. The brilliant white at first made me see snow. The subtle gray scale made me take a second look, and the smooth stream bleeding into gentle ripples made my heart weep. I can almost hear the music. I can see why you never get tired of looking at it. Great Shot!

Personally I like some of your nudes better..."eyes of the beholder".
Within 5 minutes of viewing your gallery I had seen several great shots that I had missed;
and any more that I would greatly enjoy looking at again and again. Thank you for sharing your great work!
