The illumination is brilliant, as is the salient coloring. I don't think I have seen any better of this kind on deviantart yet.
I'm far from being experienced enough to give you a throughout critique, so this is just a personal note/opinion: The prominent hip bone is a very nice, line-giving element, however I think it edges out just a little too much (and the effect is even fortified by the shadow thrown from it). In combination with the brightness of the immediate surrounding, the contrast quickly catches the viewer's focus. Consider the title, this was either your intention or you noticed this yourself. My point however is, that the prominent bone plus the very static, linear pose of the model, (in my perception) trigger thoughts of a dead body on its deathbed, which I don't think is what you wanted to associate. Again, this is just what came to my mind and I tried to explain what I found as probable reasons for this association. Maybe I've simply seen to many bad movies Thanks a lot for sharing, I'm looking forward for your next masterpieces -- sapienti sat Thanks. I had been wanting to do that theme again with color. I should have a few more coming similar to this but with different colors.
